Franciscan Web Page:
The Franciscans were founded by Saint Francis of Assisi
(1182-4 Oct 1226) and Saint Clare of Assisi (1194-11 Aug 1253). The
Franciscan Orders include, for Roman Catholics, the Friars Minor (Order of
Friar Minor (OFM), Order of Friars Minor Capuchin (OFM Cap) and Order of
Friars Minor Conventual (OFM Conv)), the Poor Clares, and the Third Order.
Anglicans Franciscans may join the one of three Anglican Franciscan Orders,
and other Protestants may join the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans. Those in
Northern Europe may be interested in Assisi-Kredsen. |
 |
The Franciscans (OFM):
What is unique about the Franciscans is the fact
we are not limited to a specific ministry. You may find friars serving God's
people in the classroom, in parishes, soup kitchens, or perhaps at an AIDS
hospice. What is special to the Franciscans is our focus on our brotherhood,
living lives that reflect simplicity, humble obedience and being celibate
for the sake of the Kingdom. |
 |
Franciscans International: Franciscans International is a

spiritual, ethical, and Franciscan values to United Nations forums and
agendas. |

Franciscans International in Geneva. Our major partners and collaborators
are brothers and sisters in the field who are active in promoting and
defending human rights in many parts of the world. We also collaborate with
